HPSHIVA is committed to increasing farmers’ income by improving productivity, promoting value addition, and strengthening market linkages. The project also focuses on creating new rural employment opportunities, helping to boost the local economy and improve the overall standard of living in farming communities.

HPSHIVA actively supports women by organizing and empowering them through self-help groups, enabling their participation in horticultural activities. The project also encourages youth entrepreneurship, creating opportunities for young people to start horticulture-based ventures and contribute to the growth of the sector.

To reduce post-harvest losses and increase profitability, HPSHIVA is setting up pack houses, grading units, and cold storage facilities. Farmers are trained in food processing techniques that enable them to diversify into products like juices, jams, and pickles. By encouraging the formation of Farmer.

HPSHIVA supports the installation of drip and sprinkler irrigation systems to ensure efficient water use and improve crop productivity. The project also focuses on the construction of water storage tanks and small reservoirs to provide a reliable water supply for horticultural activities throughout the year.

HPSHIVA promotes the cultivation of sub-tropical fruits such as mango, guava, pomegranate, citrus, and litchi. To support farmers, the project provides high-quality planting material, ensuring better productivity and improved fruit quality across the region.
